  • Services

    I offer private tutoring in:

    • Reading Readiness: This is the first course of the series, designed for young children. This course covers letter recognition, phonological awareness, speaking skills, multisensory letter introduction, and handwriting. Students learn strategies to heighten their awareness of words and sounds and develop the essential skills that lead to reading success.

    • Basic Language Skills I: After the Reading Readiness course targets are met, students are ready for BLS I where they will learn the foundation of reading and writing. This course involves a multisensory approach based on the Orton-Gillingham curriculum for effectively teaching phonics and language structure to students with Dyslexia and other reading challenges. Students deepen their essential skills and start to experience reading success.

    • Basic Language Skills II: This class is for students who master the targets of BLS I. They will continue to learn the mechanics of reading and writing and gain confidence. The students I have worked with in BLS II have reached their grade-level target goals for words per minute and accuracy.

    • Basic Language Skills III: In BLS 3, instruction emphasizes writing development and reading comprehension while expanding students’ knowledge of Greek and Latin roots to strengthen vocabulary and deepen word understanding. This level builds on foundational language skills, helping students connect word structure and meaning to improve overall literacy and written expression.

"Tracy is amazing. She truly changed my son's life. My son has severe dyslexia, and before working with Tracy, reading was a daily struggle. As a parent, it was heartbreaking to watch him work so hard and feel so frustrated. Tracy has an incredible gift. She gave him the skills, confidence, and encouragement he needed to succeed. She believed in him every step of the way, and it made all the difference. Today, he is an independent reader who enjoys reading chapter books. While he still has room to grow, he now has the foundation and confidence to keep learning and thriving. I will always be grateful for everything Tracy has done for our family. If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly changes lives, I cannot recommend Tracy highly enough." -2025
